The AUTOTERM Baltica System is a premium all-in-one heating solution designed to provide domestic hot water, coolant heating and interior heating support in one compact system. Ideal for caravans, motorhomes, boats, vehicles and specialised installations, Baltica combines a 13L expansion tank with an integrated heat exchanger and dual 800W electric heating elements for flexible heating performance.

Please note: The AUTOTERM Baltica System does not include a heater. It is designed to operate with the AUTOTERM Flow 5 heater, which is sold separately.

AUTOTERM Baltica All-in-One Heating System

The AUTOTERM Baltica System brings hot water, coolant heating and interior heating support together in a single integrated system. Designed for vehicles, boats, campers and other specialised applications, it provides a compact and efficient solution for maintaining comfort and hot water availability while travelling or living off-grid.

13L Expansion Tank with Integrated Heat Exchanger

At the heart of the Baltica System is a 13L expansion tank with an integrated heat exchanger. This system can provide domestic hot water within approximately 6-10 minutes after activation. A water flow regulator is required for reliable performance, with a recommended flow rate of 3.5L/min.

Support for Interior Heating

Baltica can be integrated with hydronic heating systems using compatible radiators or fan coil units. When used with Baltica Control, the system can automatically manage heating demand and control fans or compatible third-party heating devices through relay-based heat-on-demand operation.

Integrated 1600W Grid Heating

Two integrated 800W electric heating elements provide a combined 1600W of electric heating power when connected to shore power or an external grid supply. Each element features a preset 90°C thermostat with a safety cutoff between 91-95°C.

The system can operate alongside the Baltica Flow 5 heater for additional heating performance or in GRID-only mode. In GRID-only mode, stored heat can be used for domestic hot water and space heating without running the heater.

Flexible Control Options

The Baltica System can be operated using Push Control for basic system management, automatic pump operation and fan temperature control. Baltica Control provides additional functionality, including automatic pump control, heating fan management and secondary compartment heating.

Important Flow 5 Compatibility

The AUTOTERM Baltica System is designed exclusively for use with the special AUTOTERM Baltica Flow 5 heater version. The heater is NOT included with the Baltica System and must be purchased separately.

Standard AUTOTERM Flow 5 heaters are not compatible with the Baltica System or Baltica Control functionality. Please ensure you purchase the correct Baltica-compatible Flow 5 heater version for your installation.

Installation Requirements

The Baltica expansion tank must be installed vertically and securely mounted using the original mounting brackets. A minimum clearance of 5cm must be maintained around the system, with adequate ventilation provided.

Coolant piping between the heater and tank must not exceed 3 metres, and where the heater is installed separately, it must be positioned within ±50cm of the tank centreline. An overflow pipe must also be connected to prevent coolant or steam discharge into the vehicle or living compartment.

Recommended Coolant

AUTOTERM Aluminium EKO Coolant is recommended for use with the Baltica System. This specialised propylene glycol coolant is designed for safe and reliable operation. An alternative non-corrosive propylene glycol coolant may be used if it meets the same specifications.

Do not use water as coolant. For non-domestic applications, G13 antifreeze may be used.
